Every tour of Hopson Health stops at the same spot: a stationary bike next to a tall white unit labeled HyperMax Oxygen, with a mask hanging beside it. “What’s that?” That’s EWOT – Exercise With Oxygen Therapy – and if you’re a Recovery Club member it’s already included in your membership.
What EWOT is
EWOT pairs light-to-moderate exercise with breathing oxygen-enriched air through a mask. The oxygen concentrator feeds a large reservoir; while you pedal, you breathe air with a far higher oxygen concentration than the room. Exercise raises your heart rate and circulation, and the extra oxygen rides along with it. Sessions are short – typically 15 minutes.
Who uses it
- Athletes looking for an efficient conditioning and recovery tool
- Clients rebuilding stamina after illness or time away from training
- People focused on energy, focus and “brain fog”
- Older adults who want a low-impact cardio option with support
- Anyone who wants the benefits of a workout in a fraction of the time
What a session looks like
- A team member fits the mask and sets the bike resistance to your level.
- You pedal at an easy-to-moderate pace – think conversational effort – for about 15 minutes.
- Some protocols alternate brief harder efforts with easy spinning. Our staff will guide you.
- Mask off, towel down, and most people head straight to the compression boots or the sauna.
You’ll break a light sweat, so bring workout clothes and sneakers.
Included in the Recovery Club
EWOT is one of the eight Core Recovery services included in the Hopson Recovery Club ($149/month, unlimited, up to three services a day). A popular member “stack” is EWOT → cryotherapy → compression boots – about 50 minutes door to door. Non-members can try it for $30 or with the $99 Core Recovery 5-Pack.
